I am the Senior Genealogist within the company, which, loosely translated, means I have been here the longest. It also means I am well-versed with all aspects of probate genealogy, as well as how everyone likes their hot drinks.

When I first came into this role, genealogy, to me, seemed a dusty old hobby to take up when my fingers were unable to navigate my knitting needles, but hours turned into late nights, late nights to weeks, weeks to years, and here I am, still eagerly rifling through census records, connecting this to that, and you to them.

My favourite thing about this job is how every day is different – even 10 years later – no family is the same, and the thousands of people that I have spoken to have a different story to share, or a surprising skeleton to disclose.

Outside of work, I am usually running. Rain or shine, you can find me clocking up some miles. Although I might be in the gym, too, mind you or recovering in the sauna.
